Full detailsWhere we run
From the berths to the warehouse belt
San Pedro Bay is the busiest container gateway in the country, and nearly all of that freight leaves on a handful of roads. Trucks pull at the terminals on Terminal Island and along the San Pedro and Wilmington waterfront, queue on Harry Bridges and Anaheim, and head north on the 110 or the 710 toward the warehouse belt in Carson, Rancho Dominguez, and Compton.
We work those roads every day of the year: SR-47 and the Vincent Thomas and Schuyler Heim bridges, the Alameda Street truck route and its corridor grade separations, the 405 and 91 interchanges where port freight meets everything else, and the surface truck routes where most of it actually happens.
- I-710I-710Ocean Blvd to East L.A. — the main drayage artery out of San Pedro Bay.
- I-110I-110San Pedro to downtown — the west-side port artery through Wilmington, Carson and Gardena.
- SR 47SR-47 & the BridgesVincent Thomas Bridge, Seaside Ave, Ocean Blvd and the Schuyler Heim — the pure port-truck route.
- SR 47Alameda St & Harbor RoutesAlameda St, Harry Bridges, Anaheim St and PCH — the surface routes between the terminals and the yards.
- I-405I-405Torrance to Seal Beach — the east–west link crossing both the 110 and the 710.
- SR 91SR-91The warehouse belt crossbar — the 110, the 710 and the 605 in about twelve miles.

Questions drivers ask
Mobile diesel mechanic FAQ
Do you come to me, or do I need to get the truck towed?
We come to you. A mobile diesel mechanic drives to the truck — freeway shoulder, surface truck route, container yard, warehouse dock, or outside a terminal gate — and repairs it there whenever the job can be done on site. If it truly needs a shop, we tell you up front so you can arrange a tow without losing more time.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. Dispatch is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — nights, weekends, and holidays.
Can you reach a truck inside a marine terminal?
That depends on the terminal operator, not on us. Each terminal at the Port of L.A. and the Port of Long Beach sets its own credentialing and safety rules for outside service vehicles, and those rules change. Tell dispatch exactly where the truck is sitting — the berth or pier, and whether you are inside the gate — and we will tell you straight whether we can come to you, whether you need to get outside first, or whether it needs a tow.
What kinds of trucks do you work on?
Class 6 through Class 8 diesel trucks — semi trucks, bobtails, and heavy work trucks — plus the equipment behind them: Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, International, and Western Star tractors, day cabs, terminal (yard) tractors, box trucks, dump trucks, container chassis, reefer trailers, and dry vans.
Do you work on container chassis?
Constantly. Pool chassis are a large share of everything we do here — lights, tires, brakes, air lines, and landing gear. Because nobody owns them, they get the least maintenance and generate the most roadside calls in the harbor.
How much does a mobile diesel mechanic cost?
It depends on the repair, the parts, how far the mechanic has to travel, and the time of day. Describe the problem and your location when you call and ask for pricing up front.
How fast can a mechanic get to me?
That depends on where the truck is and what traffic looks like — a backed-up 710 or a harbor gate surge can change drive times quickly. Dispatch gives you an estimated arrival time on the phone.
Will you delete a DPF or turn off a DEF system?
No. Tampering with emissions control equipment is illegal in California under Vehicle Code § 27156, CARB enforces it independently of the federal EPA, and a deleted truck cannot pass a Clean Truck Check — which eventually means it cannot register or work the port. We fix the underlying fault instead. Our California emissions guide explains what the rules actually require.
Do you handle DOT inspections and fleet maintenance too?
Yes. Along with breakdowns, we perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance at your yard so trucks stay out of the shop and in rotation.
